Staying clean and hygienic is just as important for our pets as it is for humans. Acts like frequent brushing, baths, nail trims, ear cleaning and more can not only make sure your pet’s hair and skin stay hygienic and remain in good condition, but can also make sure your pets are comfortable. All pets need and deserve freshening up every once in a while - but how do you know when to book a wash versus a full grooming appointment? Self-Wash Appointments

Give your pet a rise, scrub and blow-dry in a fully-stocked wash suite specifically designed for pets. We work with Tropiclean, based locally in St. Peters, to provide an array of shampoos, conditioners and body sprays to freshen up your pet.

The tubs are also made for dogs of all sizes, meaning that from Chihuahuas to St. Bernards, all pups are perfectly accommodated. You can even bring your cat to Treats Unleashed for a bath, if they’ll let you. Our shampoos and conditioners are perfectly safe to be used on feline companions as well. 

The best part? We handle the clean-up. We wash the tub, mop up water, clean the drain, launder the towels, everything, so you can head out the door with your pet and enjoy the rest of your day.

Grooming Appointments

When you schedule a groom at Treats Unleashed, you’re booking more than a wash. This is going to be a multi-service, more comprehensive spa day for your pet, complete with: 

• A bath with natural shampoo and conditioner

• A thorough drying with brush out

• A custom cut

• Nail trimming

• Ear cleaning

Our team understands that breeds have different fur and hair types, and that pet parents have different wants/needs. Some may desire a trim, others a shave, and everything in-between. When you book your appointment, our team asks questions about your pet’s temperament, size and breed to best determine what techniques and tools are best suited for the type of cut you’d like for your pet.

In addition to a custom cut, our team also includes nail trims (with filing) and ear cleaning in our grooming packages. Nail care and ear care are both important aspects of keeping your pet clean and cared for. Failure to properly keep your pet’s ears clean can result in ear infections only remediable by a visit to the vet and antibiotics. Untrimmed nails can get caught or snagged during playtime, and if allowed to grow under the paw pads, can cause tangible discomfort or even pain for your furry companion.

Ear cleaning and nail trimming are important steps to making sure your pet’s hygiene needs are met, and our trained professionals are equipped to make sure it’s done correctly, thoroughly and with a steady hand.

Nail trims are available by appointment only. Nail grinding & buffing optional. Please call a Treats Unleashed location near you to book this service specifically.

I have a new puppy! How do I know when it’s time for their first groom?
Part of our mission at Treats Unleashed is to provide a low stress environment and a positive experience for all pets in our salons. As such, puppies will not be scheduled for full haircuts on a first visit. Usually, puppies need two or three smaller "face/feet/fanny" appointments before they are ready for their first full haircut. We will start doing full haircuts as soon as the puppy is mentally prepared and we can do so following our low stress grooming methods.
