Treats Unleashed’s Pet Expo fundraises for pets in-need this fall

A local pet-friendly tradition is back, and this year, it’s all about fundraising with fall fun. The Columbia Pet Expo returns to Treats Unleashed - Columbia (1400 Forum Blvd. in Columbia, MO) on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.  New to 2025, this year’s theme is “Barktoberfest!” 

The event is pet-friendly and free for all ages. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales and donations will go to Central Missouri Humane Society and The Spay Neuter Project. In 2024, the pet expo raised $3,230.43 for these local pet causes.

On event day, pets and families will make their way to the big-top to browse vendors, play games, win prizes, and enjoy special activities. Stock up free samples from favorite pet food brands, visit educational booths to learn more about area resources, shop pet-related gifts from artisans, connect with pet photography and pet-sitting providers, grab some freshly-baked treats, and more. More fun awaits in the Activity Zone, where you can make a mess-free masterpiece at our Paw-Casso table, pose for an autumnal photo-op, dig for treasure in the Great Pup-kin Patch Ball Pits, try your eye at our Guessing Booth, and more!

Looking to adopt a furry friend? Stop by Central Missouri Humane Society’s booth, or any of the other visiting rescues, to learn about adoptable dogs and cats in your area. Stop by the Spay Neuter Project’s table to learn how they’re working to combat pet overpopulation.

Finally, hop inside Treats Unleashed to take advantage of special, one-day only sales from tons of favorite brands. 

Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event for the chance to win goodies from vendors and sponsors. Tickets can be purchased on-site on event day. 

Treats Unleashed has remained family-owned since opening the first shop in St. Louis in 2002, with the Columbia location opening its doors in 2003 as the second location. Today, Treats Unleashed specializes in all-natural pet food, fresh-baked pet treats, toys, and supplies. Locations also now offer grooming and convenient self-wash services. The staff at each location are trained pet food experts and are dedicated to helping pet parents find the perfect products for their pets’ needs. Treats Unleashed has 21 locations across Kansas City, St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri. All shops are open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
