Taking place annually on the fourth Saturday of September, Neighborhood Pet Store Day is a time to rally the pet lovers of North America in support of indie pet businesses like Treats Unleashed!

On this day, pet brands and independent businesses band together to provide tons of exclusive, one-day sales to reward pet parents for shopping local and supporting pet stores in your community. It's a great day to stop in your favorite indie pet store, and get amazing deals on favorite foods, brands, toys, and more! Maybe you'll even discover a new favorite or two, all while enjoying discounts and deals day-of. You'll have to stop in-store at Treats Unleashed on Sept. 28 to see what deals are active at your location!

Besides the sales, what are some other reasons to love Neighborhood Pet Store Day? 

• It’s an opportunity to shop from businesses you love and give back to your community. Treats Unleashed is family-owned, and has been a part of the St. Louis community since 2002. We started out as a kiosk in Chesterfield Mall selling our beloved original Apple Cinnamon Hearts dog treat recipe. Since then, we have grown into 20 locations across Missouri and Kansas! We've expanded our selection to multiple flavors of handmade pet treats (always made in small batches and with human-grade ingridients) to pet-safe birthday cakes, softbites, and more. In addition to growing our bakeries, we now carry many different lines of pet food (dog and cat) as well as other essentials like pet toys, leashes, hygiene items, beds, and even kitty litter. It's thanks to the local community that we were able to grow and provide more to pet owners across Missouri and Kansas. We now also offer self-serve dog washing stations, and pet grooming services at all our locations.

• Independent pet stores offer a one-of-a-kind customer experience you and your pets deserve. At Treats Unleashed, our team members want to learn all about your pet: their name, their likes, everything. We even provide services like Personal Feeding Plans for free because we understand the fact that every pet is different, and especially when it comes to nutrition, no one-size-fits all.

• Independent pet store owners are experts in their market and care about their customers, making them feel special and listening to their concerns. At Treats Unleashed, our buying team is tapped into the world of up-and-coming pet products, and attends multiple national expos and trade shows to find products we think our local audiences (two-legged and four-legged) will absolutely love.
